No, because no "government laws" are involved in _any_ of the
discussions of how to handle the list.
Would you make the parallel constructions as easily:
"The success of my party next Saturday will be a test of the
survivability of a minarchist society."
or
"Whether the new Borders which is opening succeeds or fails will be a
test of the survivability of a minarchist society."
Of course not. All of these examples, including the various
Cypherpunks lists, are embodiments of private law. Minarchism is not
being tested, unless one is claiming that problems with boorish
guests at a party, or boorish posters on a mailing list, or the
failure of Borders to stock certain magazines, etc., means that
government intervention is necessary.
