And this is on the say so of one unnamed alleged contractor?
Why bother to be annonymous? Since the EOP will certainly know
who they hired. If true the story fingers the consultant
very precisely. The name would be out in the industry
circles and the guy will never get another job in the
business.
Reporting a customer to the press to damage them is a
pretty extreeme breach of trust. If there is a suspicion
of criminal activity you report it to the police, not a
reporter. It is not as if various flavours of law enforcement
are exactly inconspicuous about the EOP.
As for the chances that the West office staff spend their
time downloading porn onto computers that get regularly
seized and taken off to Congress for political witch-hunts
led by the likes of Jessie Helms and Bob Barr...
For this to turn into a circus the person making the
allegations has to come forward. I doubt that is going
to happen, both because the story told sounds to me like
a fabrication and because if it were true the chap is
not very likely to own up and become the next Linda Tripp.

PPS: Ever thought it a bit wierd that the NSA don't do
the stuff like firewalls at the EOP?
