Long lines is a bad thing? I hate email clients or mailing lists that auto-wrap actual text instead of the view. That is terribly
retro. My current edit window, which is only 2/3 of my screen width, is 226 characters wide.
Who doesn't use Thunderbird anyway? Everything else is broken and
