About a month ago I mailed a postcard to a friend in another state and rot13'd the message on the back. The picture was of the DC Hazmat team. Weeks passed and he did not receive it. Testing a theory, I subsequently mailed him another postcard with some inane sheeple statements about the weather and the beach. The picture was equally benign. He received that one 4 days after I mailed it. He eventually received the rot13 card -- nearly a month after I mailed it. Perhaps it's my rabid paranoia speaking, but I'm awfully intrigued by the disparity between the transmission time of the 2 postcards. I've sent a couple more rot13 cards and inane cards as data points. Anyone have a similar experience?
