Regardless of outcome, a "sign on" page might be useful for the community to express its collective will on this matter. Is someone capable (and willing) to create such a page? Git is too complicated for most people. Suggested enhancements to this Open Public Notice should be publicly contributed on this list in reply one would think; although the draft consumed a couple hours, undoubtedly it can sustain some genuine improvements.
