I'm not so worried about my guns, because I bought them all informally for cash, and there are no public records :) And I no longer buy or sell "illegal" drugs. My only substantial risk factor is online activity. But all that's visible is a VPN connection. And many people use VPNs these days. For casual stuff, I use nested VPN chains. Plus Tor for stuff that I really care about. So I'm not too worried. But I do wonder what I'd do if they "came for me". All my machines are full-disk encrypted. And the power strip to the UPS is about two meters away as I type. So I could shut everything down fast enough. Still, do I want to deal with the hassle? I have a lawyer on retainer. But they'd impound all my stuff, and demand FDE passphrases. Life would suck, maybe for a long while. Say, if I were jailed for contempt. But you know, at some point suicide by cop will look like the best option. I have my combat pump 12 gauge, with pistol grips and laser sight. With alternating buckshot and slugs. And I've been thinking about a simple design for a "fire bomb", for diversion. Basically, a ~500 ml plastic bottle, ~2/3 full of kerosene, with a 12 gauge blank on top. I'd use a simple firing pin, comprising a spring with a ratchet and string. On the other hand, maybe I'll just die in my sleep :) <SNIP>
