And Russian soldiers have a long record of sexual crimes ‒ during World War II, in Afghanistan, during the Chechen Wars and during the invasion of Donbas in 2014. Now in the occupied Ukrainian territories, they also commit rape and other forms of sexual violence. The majority of victims are women, but girls, boys, and men also suffer from this form of violence.
