In practice, the Spanish Mondragon cooperatives seem to me a more direct and practical route to the Marxist ideal than attempts at derivative Leninism. For us, building cooperatives and networks of cooperatives builds capitalisms replacement. For Cuba and other socialst states struggling under a constant assault by militarized capital, progress is especially challenged and undermined and must be defended against to preserve even a foundation on which to build the commune.
