I'm on my trebled hot pepper serrano phone with k-9 mail. I'm having some trouble using k-9 mail. In addition to the interface being unfamiliar to me, different sets of emails show up in the search results and in the folders than on Gmail. This may be mostly due to me not configuring it to behave like Gmail, not sure.
I'd like to get off closed source mail clients where reasonable, so I'd like to stick to k-9 mail unless there's something better (like mutt ;p) but these difficulties will be slowing me for a bit. I've been using my mail client to influence my life, by spamming stuff. The name of k-9 mail is unpleasant to me. During my psychotic political targetting experience, I developed the belief that the phrases "dogs" and "cats" referred to men and women respectively who had their lives taken by organized crime or similar in some way. I'd ideally like an email client that resisted these labels. I wonder if there is something I could debug without access to a desktop system.
