[we need to be able to store and recall information accurately.
without this, we make mistakes in the real world.
we also need to be able to manage how much and where we are filling in
for missing information.
in some areas, this is normal; in others, the missed spots relate to
important relevant thing.
if we don't successfully label these relevant things, we become delusional.
