Google Must Face VPPA Claim In E-Classroom Risk Suit

A California magistrate judge on Wednesday trimmed most of an elementary
school student's lawsuit alleging Google illegally collected his data and
exposed his account to hackers, causing him to be falsely accused of
sending his teacher explicit messages, but the judge kept alive a claim
under the Video Privacy Protection Act.
