to help others work with the numbers, we add notes regarding the
number 2 and number 0 that we are not certain whether they will stay
the same numbers, and assertions we make about them are dependent on
them being “0” and “2” in ascending order. if they change to other
numbers, assertions regarding their relation with “1” may no longer be
true.
