Counsel for Albertsons accused Washington regulators Monday of
cherry-picking comments from the grocer's CEO hyping Kroger as key
competition to bolster the government's case for blocking the merger and
overcame the state's objections to introduce emails where the CEO expressed
fears about Costco, Walmart and Amazon's ever-expanding reach.
