A business consultant and investor who pled guilty to laundering
approximately $35 million as part of the global OneCoin cryptocurrency scam
has asked a New York federal judge for a probationary sentence and a
minimal fine, arguing that he had a minor role in the scheme compared to
other defendants and has lived an otherwise law-abiding life.
