The company behind a website and app that allow families to view photos of
their children at summer camp told an Illinois federal judge it had no idea
about the state's biometric privacy law, and thus couldn't have knowingly
violated it, arguing that means insurers cannot shirk their responsibility
to defend it in an underlying suit.
