An Illinois federal judge is allowing 22 states and the District of
Columbia to challenge a deal to end multidistrict litigation over Clearview
AI's practice of automatically collecting biometric facial data online,
with attorneys general arguing the settlement would provide no meaningful
injunctive relief and give plaintiffs an unknown financial stake in the
company.
