FTC Bars Employers From Imposing Noncompete Contracts

The Federal Trade Commission voted 3-2 on Tuesday to ban essentially all
noncompete agreements that employers frequently impose on workers, leaving
an earlier draft of the ban mostly unchanged other than to allow existing
noncompete agreements with senior executives to remain while banning future
ones for top corporate officials.
