A South Carolina federal judge hit ex-lawyer and convicted murderer Alex
Murdaugh with a $14.8 million default judgment Thursday in favor of
Nautilus Insurance Co., days before the insurer is set for trial against
another lawyer and law firm who allegedly should have known about
Murdaugh's insurance fraud.
