this has been a long term and escalating problem, where this list used to be on the side of deploying effective security, cryptography, and user-ownership in such a way that data leaks would have minimal impact
given the problem has instead worsened it makes sense to be more aware of it alternatively I guess the hope is to limit access to powerful government and organized criminal groups, (with each often called by the other’s name apparently), hoping the trend is toward the former rather than the latter it’s a tough topic! I do appreciate we’re working though it and figuring paths out (real security does still work if used) it’s a rocky road but we’re acquiring incredible experience as a species!
