Declan,

censored.org is up for sale.

I am aware of all the new 'reverse engineering' projects that are now
in play, or on the table. Something needs to be done to be able to allow
the folks that do this valuable service, to continue to survive.

censored.org is a natural place for them to go. A place where test results
can be posted anonymously, and it can be shown there is no monetary gain
motive associated with such information.

censored.org was formed 6 years ago as a personal protest when I was
'censored' by a local ISP. It has served its purpose well, but it is
now time to set minor personal issues aside, and let the domain go to
whatever organization or sponsor can use it. Its history is colorful, as
c2.org was its original host.

The domain is a natural for 'mirror' sites. It's a natural for a message
board to express various topics that an individual couldn't express otherwise.
And, if there were a sponsor with deep enough pockets, it could even have a
chat board and keep the discussions real-time. There is certainly real ability
to defray costs with site banners and the usual e-commerce plays available.

So far, about $2,500 has gone into ISP costs, and this is the starting point
for negotiation. afternic.com has appraised the domain 44 times with a mean
appraisal figure of $11,567.05 over the last week. So somewhere between the
two, I hope that the twain shall meet.

There haven't been any lawsuits against the domain or the ISP's that have
handled it during the last 6 years. It has primarily been used as an email
address, and (when my computer functions right) has had a limited website.
The website is currently down.

I hope that you know of some ideas for this. And thanks for your time.
