They are indeed "new." same old story. we've seen this with "force-feedback", with that whatever-they-call-it that fiddles with the resolution on laptops by using the individual color cells, and with optical mice - something that M$ more or less improved, then touts as "new". if it's an improvement, call it that. I still think you can blame the journalists for not getting their facts right. I've seen too many "news articles" that could have been avoided with 5 minutes of search-engine use.
