        There is the button with "QP" on the button bar. If this is 
not "pressed", Mime "Quoted Printable" will not be used no matter 
what.

        Apparently you are not sending stuff in Mime, but rather (as 
I am) "x-flowed".

        There is an option to turn this off, but then it also turns 
off wrapping.

        It's the same for 4.2 and 4.3.

        Yeah. It's the only reason I still use a Mac on a regular 
basis. As soon as I find a MTA that can do filtering as transparently 
and as easily as Eudora, and does both attributions, and sends email 
as plain old text with none of this sill "x-flowed" nonsense, then 
it's history.
