The problems are multi-fold:

-- it costs little to sue, and much for Disney to defend itself. The
party who sues can do it for very little money, even pro se, or on a
contingency fee basis. Disney, the party being sued, must defend
itself with vigor (and many lawyers), lest a jury vote to hit it with
massive punitive fines. (This is part of the anti-wealth bias in
America..not as bad as some places, but juries still have a tendency
to "stick it to the rich corporations.')

-- it is impossible for a countersuit against this Judy Goodwin to
offset the risks. In a fair world, Disney would be able to countersue
Goodwin and, if it prevails, have her paying off her bill for the
rest of her life.

-- the obvious political correctness angle

Calling a spade a spade is no longer possible.

Can I sue the movie studio that produced the racist "White Men Can't Jump"?

(Better yet, maybe I should I produce a sequel: "Black Men Can't Think.")
