True enough, but note that most (non-Fed) cops do NOT ship illegals off to the INS. Last week in San Jose someone was dressing like a cop and stealing illegals' wallets; the San Jose police said they would not turn in illegals who reported crimes to them, they just wanted to catch the imposter. Other examples of this "turning a blind eye" abound; in fact, when the city of Anaheim proposed running INS checks on arrestees, they caught a lot of flack and IIRC eventually backed down. We look forward to the SF prankster-citizens putting on sheep masks and filming (with or without tape in their props) taxpayers' buildings.
