Key distribution is a central problem in cryptography. Currently, public
key cryptography is commonly used to solve it. However, these algorithms
are vulnerable to increasing computer power. In addition, their security
has never been formally proven.
Quantum cryptography exploits a fundamental principle of quantum physics -
observation causes perturbation - to distribute cryptographic keys with
