Build a database of how legislators have voted on important legislation,

Global media giants work with Western governments to discredit
anti-corporate culture and online activism and crimp human rights, a US
researcher claims.
Sandor Vegh, of the University of Maryland, wrote recently that
technologies such as the Internet, open-source, cryptography and wireless
networks threaten Western government control of political agendas. Vegh
said media cartels helped governments by negatively portraying hackers and
online activists.
"The Internet is just like any other tool . . . but it is in the interest
of certain powers to present it in a light that best supports their current
agendas," he said, adding that most press reports since September 11, 2001,
dealing with cyberterrorism were alarmist.
