It is fair to say that the O.J. Simpson murder trial was subjected to the most intensive scrutiny of any criminal case, or, indeed, any other lawsuit, in the history of American jurisprudence. Public interest in O.J. Simpson vastly outstripped other such high-profile cases as Sacco and Vanzetti (Communist spies), Leopold and Loeb (murder of a small boy), Pollard (Israeli spy), and Ethel and Julius Rosenberg (Communist spies).
