On Friday March 14, over fifty activists went on an instantaneous march along Cincinnati Ohio?s sidewalks spreading a message of resistance and revolution to the otherwise quite downtown.

The grassroots march took place after an afternoon anti-war rally on Fountain Square in the city?s main business district. Organized by several anarchist groups, the rally and march drew the attention of numerous bystanders and over twenty police officers.

Another rally took place in Cincinnati at the same time near the University of Cincinnati?s campus and drew equal support.

The downtown event was peaceful. But one man, in a jester of opposition to the protest, spat on a teen making a honk for peace sign.

Protesters marched past the federal building and county courthouse along with local landmarks.

The two-hour event came on the heals of a pro-war rally at Fountain Square on Wednesday.

Cincinnati last entered the national protest spotlight when President Bush came to the city to make his case for war on October 7th.

In that protest, activists took control of the streets surrounding the venue Bush spoke at, delaying the departure of patrons for over an hour.

A larger rally is planned at Fountain Square on April 5 at 3 PM. For more information you can contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
