If it's not clear that it ought to be submitted to Cyrus's Bugzilla, discuss it on the developer list. In the case of stupidshared, we concluded that it can be removed. 2.3.16 includes both make_md5 and make_sha1. The relative security of either isn't germane, since it's not being used as a security measure.
