I am giving a tutorial at the upcoming SciPy conference http:// conference.scipy.org/ and would like to have a new version of Cython out by then (specifically, the audience will be very interested in fast NumPy array access). On the other hand, due to the extensive amount of (good) changes in the development branch, we should be extra careful with this release.
I am currently merging Dag's branch (declared stable) into the repository and will try and fix anything that comes up.
