Hello folks,

unfortunately I accidentally too the Cython wiki down while restarting
the other wikis hosted at sagemath.org. The Cython trac is alive and well.

It will take me a little while to get it back up again since it is not
part of the usual infrastructure we use for wikis on sagemath.org, so my
apologies. But once I have figured this out I will add it to that
machinery so this won't happen again the future.

One thing I noticed is that the wiki contains a huge number of pages
(around 8,000) of which most are spam. We are in the process of
converting the various wikis related to Sage to a much more current
moinmoin release so I can offer to upgrade the Cython wiki, too. The
biggest benefit there would be much better Spam protection by adding a
captcha. Since adding it to the Sage wiki a couple weeks ago we have not
had a single spam account registered or an actual spamming which is down
from about a dozen spam accounts registered per day.

The conversion to the new wiki format is 99.9% automatic and accurate,
i.e. so far we have had to fix two trivial formatting issues with the
new pages.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Michael
