I've been looking for such a document. Greatly appreciated now that
it's available.

Please also email sage-devel once this Cython tutorial and the SciPy
paper are up somewhere on the web, preferably on www.cython.org or on
the SciPy's conference page. We would like to provide links to those
two papers so the Sage community can read about how to use Cython.

I can help with maintaining the Sphinx-based documentation of Cython.
I find that to be a good way to start learning more about Cython.
