The ram transfer is right. the other assertions are not. Have you ever developed in OpenCL or CUDA ? Writing the kernel is the most important part. Integration is also crucial. Having one language to rule them all is nice. I am sure a lot of folks of Sage would use OpenCl for their computations for dataset bigger than a defined threshold.
