Hi Zlila, So nice to hear from you! I’m doing fine, and we’re looking forward to our first grandchild this July!
https://czernowitz.geneasearch.net/index.php At this website, if you type in surname Ebner and Given name <begins with> May… you will see several listings for Mayer Ebner. If his middle name was Salomon and father’s name was Yacob, there is a birth record for him from 1884 (not 1872). I can find a copy of that one if it’s the one you’re seeking. If you’re looking for a marriage record, please tell me his spouse’s name. Maybe he was listed as “Salomon Ebner” on the marriage record? Well, please stay in touch. This project unprecedented in its scope involves about 17,000 searchable annotated records of essays, books, pamphlets, and articles in some ten languages, which relate, in whole or in part, to the Jews of Galicia and Bukovina. The works cover their history, social life, religion, and culture as individuals and as communities, beginning with the annexation of the region by Austria (1772) through the outbreak of World War II (1939). All the bibliographical items are searchable by their registration data, research subjects, and the personalities mentioned. A very significant part of the project is devoted to bio-bibliographical items regarding more than 2,000 prominent cultural, religious, and public figures who lived and worked in Galicia and Bukovina: writers, rabbis, researchers, intellectuals, artists, scientists, musicians, political activists, etc To start the search click here: https://www.jgaliciabukovina.net/.../selected-bibliography<https://www.jgaliciabukovina.net/136/article/selected-bibliography?fbclid=IwAR1GDCSnEjY6wpajol9atnNDZJOGTIcIFkRBgzqujxv7I4Sr6vLlIdF1H1I> I suggest you explore their website even beyond this bibliography – there is much information.
