Hi Véronique,

The record-keeping that was specific for the Jewish community ended in 1929, 
and what followed was “Civil Registrations” for birth, marriage and death for 
all faiths together. The religion is noted in each record. You can find 
Czernowitz records, 1930-1933 here:

I suppose that privacy laws prevent the copying and distribution of more recent 
records, which can nevertheless be found in local and regional offices.

The Old Jewish Cemetery index is now online for Suceava. It is not searchable 
by name (as far as I can tell) but you can scroll through the various entries – 
mostly Patronymic, very few surnames.
