Hi,

by chance I noticed a file /usr/bin/tgz .
In $HOME I run $ tgz --help and a file was generated named
--help.tgz .

The content of the file

[ SNIP - additional output above has been trimmed from this log ]
    ./.atom/.apm/commander/2.8.1/package/
    ./.atom/.apm/commander/2.8.1/package/package.json
    ./.atom/.apm/commander/2.7.1/
    ./.atom/.apm/commander/2.7.1/package.tgz
    ./.atom/.apm/commander/2.7.1/package/
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
    tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
    tar: Unexpected EOF in archive

[ Finished With Errors ]tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

seems to be a listing of the files in $HOME. That listing was
interrupted by me, when pushing Ctrl + C.

The file is from mtools . I wonder what /usr/bin/tgz is good for.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Ralf
