D2RQ is typically used to *populate* an *existing* ontology with  
*instances* that come from a database. For this typical case, it  
doesn't matter whether the existing ontology is RDFS, OWL Full, OWL RL  
or whatever. All that matters from the point of view is that the  
classes and properties in the ontology have URIs.
