I don't think it's virtual, because I can hit the End key in Windows an immediately jump to the last item in the list. I just think that there's a bug in Gtk.
Perhaps dListControl would be the better control in this case.
Remember, we're just trying to give newcomers some code to look at, not create an optimal app. Create a new demo app using dListControl instead.
