Yes, and I'm aware that the current way of doing things sucks.
The menu is a vestige - it works, but it's counter-intuitive.
Right now the cleanest way to work with things is to right-click on
the Designer form directly. All the choices will be available from
the context menu.
The key is that you need to select the item you want to add to,
and then tell it what you want to add. This is the opposite of the
way that Fox does it, and the way that the original Designer did it.
By right-clicking, you're selecting and choosing at the same time.
I'd like to overhaul this interface, but right now I'm focusing on
the under-the-hood stuff.
BTW, there is one thing that you can't do from the right-click
menu: the Quick Layout Wizard. Select an empty sizer slot on the
Designer, and then run that wizard from the View menu (yeah, bad
place for it, I know). As long as you have a cnxml file handy, you
can add fields directly from any table in your connection.
