Please don't lose your focus. Recall that VFP has lot's of addons (prg's) that will meet the need of your described user. Later after the designer etc.. is finished a simple wizard can be written to support just what you described. In fact I'm not to sure a user as you described would be interested in dabo. There are plenty of access replacements on the linux side. I'm not to sure about the Mac. So I would think the user would move in that direction and not dabo.
