I feel this should be an automatic action in the app. The only thing required by the developer (or only thing the developer can change) is to decide if the action is on or off. I believe this follows the KISS thinking. When an end user is first opening the dialogs of the app adjustment would be made. There after the dialogs/forms/windows should open as they were adjusted. The developer can provide a menu item so the user can turn it off or on.
