From egenix:
The eGenix™ mxODBC™ package provides a Python Database API 2.0
compliant interface to databases that are accessible via the ODBC API.
This can either be done through an ODBC manager, e.g. the one that
comes
with Windows, or iODBC which is a free ODBC manager for Unix now
maintained by OpenLink, or directly by linking to the database's ODBC
driver.
This will not connect to a Visual FoxPro database. The only driver
that can do that is supplied by Microsoft, and is Windows-only.
You will see several free drivers for 'FoxPro', but they're talking
about the old late 1980s-early 1990s versions that were clones of
dBase (Xbase-compatible). VFP has changed its format significantly
over the years, and these generic drivers will not work.
