I've retreated with my tail between my legs more than once, but believe in the end Dabo wouldn't have been as good as it is were my visions implemented instead of Ed's. Either of us could fork the project at any time (indeed, anyone could), but neither of us see any wisdom in that whatsoever. The Dabo experience for me on one level is one huge case study on Marx's (or was it Hegel's) idea of the dialectic: every stage in social/political evolution goes through a cycle of thesis/antithesis/synthesis. We play the devil's advocate for each other well, and Dabo moves to the next level.
