Have you looked into Bazaar? It's from Canonical, the folks who
bring you Ubuntu. It mirrors an SVN repository, but being pure
Python, you can do all sorts of things when anything 'happens' in the
repository. I had never heard of it before PyCon, so I haven't had
time to really examine it in depth, but from what I've seen, it's
awesome.
