        I have no idea. There are many issues such as: do you design for the  
utter newbie, or do you design for the power user? On this issue,  
sizers are such a fundamental thing that are used throughout UI code  
that after one or two apps the parameters and what they do should be  
second nature. In the editor, I find the tooltips distracting more  
often than I find them helpful, whereas a newbie might use them all  
of the time.

        Personally, I would prefer a wiki page with this information that  
could be a single click away. When I'm writing wxPython code, I have  
a browser open to the docs so that when I get stuck, I can see the  
docs with a click or two. Otherwise, they're out of the way until I  
need them.
