I use it a lot, since I sometimes need to order by two things, and
the grid doesn't do that reliably.

Maybe a toggle? Default to off, but with a way to set it back on?

If you didn't right-click and set a sort, it shouldn't have affected
anything; if it did, then that's a bug.
