That would be interesting to find out if Python's behavior has
changed. Looking at the code, it doesn't seem possible for this error
to happen, since there is a docstring declared. What seems more likely
is that you are running py2exe with an option to strip out all
comments/docstrings; can you post the commands you are using to build?
