I think I may have discovered the windows issue that Gary Krell was having with dbMsSQL.py. I believe he had not install Ed's changes to pymssql.py. I did some testing without the changes to pymssql.py and experienced similar issues.
I did make some changes to dbMsSQL.py because there was a problem with upper case fields names but I think Gary never got that far. Ed has suggested that we maintain a copy of the pymssql.py (with Ed's patch).
