It's not a question of whether it works; it's a matter of adding
unnecessary code. I've gone through all the potentially affected
modules, and could not find an instance where the changes I made could
break anything. It also makes the code more fragile, because if we
ever change how forceCreate is passed (maybe just to SQLite), your
change will cause an exception.
