This can happen if you go backwards and forwards in revisions. The subversion 
client 
doesn't get rid of directories that disappear if there are changed files in 
those 
directories, as in the case of .py files that get compiled to (ignored) .pyc 
files. So:

svn up
svn up -r 3000

(lots of directories deleted)
svn up

(lots of errors that the directory already exists)
